PURPOSE:To obtain a silver alloy for casting assuming an elegant light yellow color by mixing specified percentages of Ag, Pd, In and Zn. CONSTITUTION:A silver alloy consisting of 60-70% Ag, 10-20% Pd, 15-25% In and 1-6% Zn is manufactured. The silver alloy has superior forgeability, sulfurization resistance, high mechanical strength and ductility, and it assumes a light yellow color tone comparable to that of a 14-karat gold alloy. The silver alloy can be widely used as a dental material and a material for personal ornaments, etc.
