PURPOSE:To compensate the temperature dependency of generated torque of a permanent magnet type synchronous motor by calculating a field magnetic flux by the electromotive force of the motor, and correcting the decrease of the magnetic flux due to the rise in the temperature. CONSTITUTION:An output signal for varying the torque command in response to the variation in the magnetic flux due to the temperature change of a motor 2 is delivered from a torque command compensator 24. The output is input to a current gain setter K0 of a microcomputer 5 to correct to compensate the decrease of the magnetic flux for the constant K0. When thus corrected, the torque generated from the motor always becomes the same irrespective of the temperature when the torque command is constant.
