PURPOSE:To improve light responsivity and repetition stability by laminating an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. zinc oxide and a charge transfer layer contg. a specified azine compd. on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The present electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate a charge generating layer contg. zinc oxide formed by using a dispersion contg. zinc oxide powder and a binder resin or sputtering zinc oxide, and a charge transfer layer contg. an azine compd. represented by the formula in which R1, R3 are each H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or the like, and R2, R4 are each N-contg. heterocyclic, phenyl, or naphthyl group optionally substd. by alkyl, alkenyl, or the like, and optionally having -NR5R6, and R5, R6 are each alkyl, phenyl, or the like and they may form a hetero ring together with N. Said charge transfer layer is formed by dissolving said azine compd. and a binder resin in a solvent and applying it. The use of the photosensitive body formed by laminating the charge generating layer and this layer permits superior light responsivity and repetition stability to be obtained. |
