PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply check the remaining amount of a wire- electrode, by always indicating, on a CRT display unit, a remaining time in view of the present wire feed rate of the wire-electrode which reduces its length being accompanied with the progress of a spark machining process. CONSTITUTION:When a new wire-electrode is wound up a wire supply bobbin, the data of the wire-electrode, such as, for example, the weight and diameter of the wire-electrode, are given to a CRT display unit 6, and therefore, the remaining amount of the wire-electrode is set. This amount is delivered to an NC control machine 4 through a signal line 5. Simultaneously, the feed rate of the wire-electrode is also set on the display unit 6, and therefore, a coded signal is delivered to a converter 7 and a device 4 through signal lines 9, 5. The remaining time of the wire-electrode is delivered through a signal line 12 to the display unit 6 which displays it thereon. |
