PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of excess and deficiency of heating, by a method wherein, through decision of a change rate in a generation ratio of gas produced during heating of an object to be cooked, a completing time of heating is set. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensor 9 detects concentration of gas generated from an object to be cooked in a heating cooking process. During operation of a magnetron 7, steam and gas are abruptly generated, and an output level V of the sensor 9 is suddenly changed. A heating stage detecting means 17 detects and latches the output level V at intervals of ta second to compute alpha={Vt-V(t- 1)}/ta, wherein Vt is an output level at a present point of time, V(t-1) is an output level of ta second ago, and alpha is a ratio of a change in an amount of gas generated. When, during generation of a peak output l, alpha attains a set value A previously stored in a memory 20 at each kind of an object to be cooked, a time T1 is latched by a counting part 18 and is outputted to a calculating part 19. Meanwhile, weight data is sent to the calculating part 19 from a weight detecting part 30. The calculating part computes and decides a time T2 between the time T1 and completion of heating. |
