PURPOSE:To improve the processing speed of a picture by transmitting a data of each operating section as a potential pattern on a distributed resistor. CONSTITUTION:The luminous amount distribution received by a photodetector layer 1 is converted into an electric signal and a potential distribution similar to the luminous distribution is formed to a resistance layer 3. A potential caused in the resistance layer 3 is converted into an operating section 4 and a potential distribution is caused to a resistance layer 5. Adjacent operating sections of an operating section 4 exchange data. Thus, each operating section output of the operating section 4 depends on the potential distribution of the corresponding resistor 3. Further, the operating section 6 performs similar processing. The spatial and average processing of the picture is realized by decreasing the number of the operating section 6 in this case.
