PURPOSE:To promote evaporation of spray through effective circulation of exhaust gas to a space below an assist combustion cylinder, by a method wherein an exhaust gas flow passage is formed between the assist combustion cylinder and the bottom of a combustion chamber, and a flange is located therebelow, a distance between the lower part of the assist combustion cylinder and the bottom of the combustion chamber is sized to be smaller than a distance between the outer diameter of the lower part of the assist combustion cylinder and the inner wall of the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:An assist combustion cylinder 14 is separated from a bottom 2 by a support body 12 and a flange 13 is attached to the assist combustion cylinder to form an exhaust gas flow passage 15. Exhaust gas heats the bottom 2 nearly throughout the whole surface thereof, and thereby it enables the bottom to be heated to a high temperature in a shorter time than thermal conduction from the assist combustion cylinder 14, and also causes an intermediate cylinder 3 to be more easily increased in temperature. Further, a distance between the lower part of the assist combustion chamber and the exhaust gas flow passage on the bottom of the combustion chamber is decreased over a distance between the outer diameter of the lower part of the assist combustion cylinder and the inner wall of the combustion chamber, and this causes further inprovement of an effect to heat the bottom 2 rapidly.
