PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality recording image with uniform recording density by detecting an ink density of an ink donor film after its use for recording and by controlling a generating heat temperature of a thermal head corresponding to the ink density detected. CONSTITUTION:In parallel with recording, by applying light from a light-emitting diode 90 of a light sensor 9 to the surface of an ink donor film 2 after its use for recording, and by receiving a reflected light with a light receiving diode 91, and by inputting an ink density detection circuit 11, the ink density of the film 2 is detected. A control signal which commands a pulse width for driving a heat generating body in proportion to the ink density is supplied to a thermal head driving circuit 12 and the generating heat temperature of the heat generating body of the thermal head 4 is adjusted. |
