PURPOSE:To display serial data without influences upon the other devices on a bus by converting serial data on the bus to various display codes and storing them and reading out and displaying visually them. CONSTITUTION:A display device 6 is connected to an optional position on a bus 1. Serial data on the bus 1 is inputted to an input part 7 of the serial data display device 6, and its normality, parity error, and framing error are checked. If data is normal, it is converted to a numerical code for display of byte units by a converting part 8 and is written in a storage part 9. If data is error data, it is converted to the ''Pa'' code or the ''Fr'' code and is written. As long as data is not inputted to the input part 7, an output part 11 displays data in the storage part 9 on a display part 12. If an interval (t) of time between, for example, the n-th data 13 and the next data 14 is longer than 0 and is shorter than a time t0 in the time measurement before said conversion, data are converted to display codes, and both data are written continuously in the storage part 9, and both data are displayed continuously on the display part to indicate a series of data. |
