PURPOSE:To realize fast, high-function printer processing by providing the 1st and the 2nd microprocessors and coupling a control means and a subordinate control means through buffer memory which is accessed by the both, and putting both microprocessors in partial charge of control over a printer device. CONSTITUTION:A subprocessor 8 outputs a signal L to a terminal PROG to hold a terminal Q of an HRPFF13-1 at H. A main processor 1 receives its signal H to hold a terminal D of an HLDAFF13-2 connected to a terminal HLDA at H, and then enters a hold state. The HLDAFF13-2 outputs a signal H to a terminal Q on receiving the trailing edge of the basic clock of the processor 1 to connect terminals A0-A7 and B0-B7 of a bus driver 12, i.e. M-BUS and S-BUS. Therefore, the input/output signal of the subprocessor 8 is connected to a terminal CONT of an I/O port A4 through a multiplexer 13-3 and the subprocessor 8 accesses buffer memory 11 from the point of time of the connection to perform processing operation.
