Industrial furnace with insulation made of mineral-fibre material

An industrial furnace is provided with an insulation made of mineral-fibre material which is arranged on its inner walls and consists of block-shaped fibrous modules (5). Also provided are electric resistance heating conductors (35), with which the furnace interior (2) can be heated. To fasten the resistance heating conductors to the furnace walls, use is made of support bars (33) which are held with the aid of support plates (32) in the horizontal separating gaps between two fibrous modules arranged above one another. The support bars (33) are additionally fastened in an articulated manner but axially non-displaceably at their ends (41) facing the furnace inner wall and are fixed in the lateral direction on the support plates (32) on which they are supported. <IMAGE>
