Printer with a printing stylus (26, 27) which is swivellably mounted and whose printing end can be deflected by two electromagnetic systems (1, 2) which are arranged crosswise with respect to one another. The two electromagnetic systems are arranged, in two planes at a distance from one another, essentially perpendicularly with respect to the printing stylus and parallel to the printing plane. They have carrying bodies (14, 15) which are guided linearly, can be displaced by the associated magnet systems and are provided with swivel bearings (22-25). In the swivel bearings, the printing stylus is mounted in such a way that a displacement of the carrying bodies brings about a corresponding deflection of the printing end of the printing stylus. <IMAGE>
