The water-ski or similar has a holder (18) for one foot, a source of propulsion (12,14,16) and a control support stick (4). The skier wears one ski on each foot and holds the upper ends of the two sticks - whose lower ends are fixed to the front parts of the skis. The upper ends of each stick have the controls (6) in the form of handgrips. The source of propulsion consists of a propeller (12) driven by an engine powered by a fluid fuel (14) contained in a tank on the top of the rear of the ski behind the foot and provided with a filling cap (16). The ski has a hollow channel for the cable connecting the handgrip to the engine.
