The writing or drawing instrument comprises a partly longitudinally slotted tubular holder which is internally contoured to clamp resiliently on to a digit, i.e finger or toe, and has a fixed or releasable writing head at its outer end. This head may contain pencil lead, nib with ink supply, ball point etc. or even an engraving tool.
