PURPOSE:To make a regularization of contraction magnifying power attainable irrespective of a medium quantity, by controlling a medium conveying speed in a way of controlling at least one unit of roller rotation, brake and roll rotation mechanisms on the basis of the result of detecting a quantity of recording medium being rolled up. CONSTITUTION:When recording is started, a resistance value of a rheostat 34 is converted into a current value or a voltage value, and when it is fed to an analog-to-digital converter 41, this conveter 41 converts it into a digital signal and reads out a diametral signal equivalent to the diameter recorded in an address corresponding to the signal. This diametral signal is fed to a motor control circuit 43, feeding a motor drive circuit 44 with the number of pulse signals commensurate to the diametral signals. With this constitution, a step motor 11 is driven at pulse numbers commensurate to the diameter of an ink donor film 1 being rolled up on a take-up roll 10. Therefore, contraction magnifying power is regularized irrespective of a quantity of recording mediums of the ink donor film or thelike being rolled up on a feed roll or a take-up roll, so that a recroding picture is improved in terms of quality. |
