A sliding door 2 for an autoclave is connected to counterweights 5 and moves upwardly when racks 7 are moved upwardly by a motor 14 or a hand wheel 15 and so that grippers 18 carried by the racks abut rollers 19 mounted on linkages 20 to which are pivoted arms 21, angular movement of the arms causing eccentric pieces 22 carried thereby to engage and press the door against a gasket 23. On downward movement of the racks, dogs 7a carried by the racks engage stops 6 on the doors so that the door is displaced downwardly against the action of the counterweights.</p> |
