<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the risk of breakage of a fuel tank upon car crash, by disposing the fuel tank spanning between a recess part formed in the lower center section of a dash board and a cargo compartment to avoid excessively decreasing the space of passenger's compartment of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:In an automobile, an engine 2 is disposed in the rear section of a vehicle body, and a passenger's compartment 5 is formed in front of the engine 2. Further, a cargo compartment 20 is formed in front of the passenger's compartment 5, and they are parted from each other by a dash board 10. The panel 10 is formed in its major part and in its vehicle-crosswise center section with a recess 11 projected toward the passenger's compartment, and a fuel tank is disposed scanning between the cargo compartment 20 and the recess 11. With this arrangement the fuel tank may be disposed in the vicinity of the center of the vehicle body and the space of the passenger's compartment may be prevented from being excessively reduced. Therefore, there may be reduced the risk of breakage of the fuel tank upon car crash.</p> |
