PURPOSE:To make it possible to take out a power having a large utility range, which is not affected by the speed of a vehicle, by disposing a rear wheel drive gear transmission mechanism fitted to the end of a counter shaft in a speed change gear unit, at the opposite side part of an engine unit. CONSTITUTION:An engine unit 4 has an engine body 8 and a speed change gear unit 9 in the rear of the former. The speed change gear unit 8 is provided at one side with a gear transmission mechanism 25 for transmitting power to a power take-off shaft 11 and at the opposite side with a gear transmission mechanism 26 for transmitting power to a rear wheel drive propelling shaft 10. The mechanism 26 receives power from a counter shaft 18 downstream of the speed change unit 9 to shift the speed with the use of speed change gears composed of two advance stage gears and a backward stage gear, and then transmits the shifted power from an intermediate shaft 30 to the propelling shaft 10 through bevel gears 31, 31 disposed near to the center of the vehicle body. |
