PURPOSE:To obtain an image having good contrast by packing glass having the coefft. of thermal expansion larger than the coefft. of thermal expansion of the magnetic material constituting head chips to both sides of the track part of the head chips. CONSTITUTION:The glass having the coefft. of thermal expansion larger than the coefft. of thermal expansion of the magnetic material constituting the head chips 1 is used for molding glass 2 so that stress is exerted to a gap 3 in the direction of tightening the opposed surfaces thereof. More specifically, the movement of the magnetic walls around the gap 3, paricularly in the region (a) is limited and a fine magnetic domain is created by the compressive stress, by which the increase in the resonance frequency of the magnetic walls is made possible and the magnetic head having the reproduced output higher than heretofore in a 3-5MHz high frequency range is made obtainable. The reproduced output at the high frequency is thus increased and the image having much better contrast than heretofore is obtd. |
