PURPOSE:To enable to suppress the black flaw to generate by performing a heat emission on a signal charge by a method wherein the difference between the voltages to be impressed on the two-phase two driving electrodes in a transferring period, during which the signal charge is transferred in the charge transmission part from the charge storage part, is lessened than the interphase potential difference. CONSTITUTION:The same voltage is impressed on the first-phase and second-phase electrodes of this CCD in a charge transferring period, during which a signal charge is transferred into the charge transmission part from the charge storage part. Whereupon the potential distribution of the voltage becomes a potential distribution like one shown in the diagram under each electrode. In this case of this potential distribution, a charge 6 according to diffusion of an abnormal impurity does not become a defective with black flaw, because the charge 6 does not shift under the adjacent electrode even though a heat emission is performed. Moreover, even though the voltages to be impressed on the first-phase and second-phase electrodes are not the same one, a heat emission charge cannot shift under the adjacent electrode, if the voltage difference between the voltages is a voltage difference 10 smaller than an interphase potential difference 9. Therefore, the charge does never become a defective with black flaw. |
