PURPOSE:To detect the balance quantity with good accuracy by arranging with a bend an electrode couple along the position of the center of gravity of the inner volume of a tank which is at the section parallel to the plane face where the tank is installed. CONSTITUTION:A liquid quantity detecting device has a pair of belt like electrodes 2, 3. The belt like electrodes 2, 3 are arranged with bend along the position of the center of gravity of the inner volume of a tank in the section parallel to the plane surface where a tank 1 is installed, and the mutual opposing interval is kept constantly by an insulating spacer 4. With said structure the electric capacity which is between the opposing belt like electrodes 2, 3 is changed by the insertion length into the liquid of the tank 1, so if the electric capacity thereof is transferred to an indicating meter as a detection parameter, the liquid quantity can be immediately read. In this case, due to the detection point being set at the gravity center position of the tank inner volume, there is no bigger errors in detection even at the time of the inclination of the tank and the detection of the balance quantity can be performed with good accuracy. |
