PURPOSE:A resin composition which will cause little flash when molded even at high mold temperatures and consists of a thermoplastic polyester, a polycarbodiimide compound, and a specified ionic copolymer. CONSTITUTION:0.1-5pts.wt. polycarbodiimide compound [e.g. a poly(4,4'-diphenylmethanecarbodiimide)] and 0.1-30pts.wt. ionic copolymer which is obtained by reacting 50wt% or more alpha-olefin with an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid salt and has units of the formula (where R1 is H, a CH3-C12H25 or C6H5; R2 is H, CH3 or C2H5, R3 is H or a CH3-C12H25; R4 is H, CH3 or C2 H5; X, Y, Z, and n each are an integer) are incorporated into 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.45 or higher. |
