PURPOSE:To perform optical reproducing without requiring any tracking servo by recording information signals so that the width of a recording track is sufficiently larger than the diameter of a light spot used for reproduction. CONSTITUTION:Information signals are recorded on a photomagnetic disk 1 with a wide recording track width Tw as shown in the figure by a magnetic head, and the diameter of a light spot 11 which scans a recording track at the reproducing time is made sufficiently smaller than the track width Tw. Since the track width Tw is sufficiently larger than the diameter of the light spot 11, the light spot 11 is not deviated from the recording track 10 even if face deflection occurs in the disc 1. Thus, optical reproduction is performed without requiring any tracking servo. |
