PURPOSE:To add a natural pattern to the surface of the metallic plate of a shell material by heating a cladding plate consisting of a core material and the shell material having the m. p. lower than the m. p. of the core material to a specific temp. so as to melt and solidify only the shell material. CONSTITUTION:The cladding plate is manufactured by using the core material which is the metallic plate consisting of Al, Zn, Cu, Fe, Ni, Ti and the alloy thereof, etc. and the shell material composed of the metallic plate consisting of Al, Zn, Mg, Pb, Sn, Cu and the alloy thereof, etc. and having the melting start temp. lower than the melting start temp. of the core material. Such cladding plate is heated to the temp. higher than the melting start temp. of the shell material and lower than the melting start temp. of the core material. Only the metallic plate of the shell material is melted or half-melted by such heating. The natural pattern is produced on the surface of the metallic plate of the shell material on progression of solidification thereafter. The metallic plate for decoration having unique appearance is obtd. at a low cost by the above-mentioned method. |
