<p>A patterning apparatus is claimed for a pile knitting machine, particularly to develop a Jacquard pattern with pile loops in a crochet gallon machine, with the yarn selectors mounted on a vertically-moving bar which is pivoted at about the middle to allow it to swing on its longitudinal axis. Its upper end is fitted with distance pieces, according to the pattern, so that its other end can be positioned selectively at the yarn outlets of the multiple pile yarn guide. A common locking device, which can be controlled, is provided to hold the yarn selectros in their pivoted position. The system provides a simple method of operating the yarn selectros so that they can be positioned easily at will in the required horizontal plane for the selection of the required yarn from the multiple yarn guide.</p> |
