PURPOSE:An antipimelotic food that contains, as an essential component, a powder of dried loofah (sponge cucumber), thus being prepared from inexpensive and readily available material and showing no side-effects. CONSTITUTION:The objective antipimelotic food is obtained by using, as an essential component, a dry powder of loofah and/or extract thereof or dried powder of its fruits and/or extract thereof. Preferably, the extract or its essence obtained by extracting the dried loofah or its powder with hot water or an aqueous lower alcohol is used. The dose is 500-2,500mg a day in the form of essence, 1-5g in the form of a powder. It is prepared in the forms of, e.g., powder, granules, cake, cookie, fresh beverage or bun. |
