PURPOSE:To dispense with manual supply of a wire at every start of winding on each core, thereby to automate the winding and to simplify a structure, by providing a winding chuck with a means for straight and rotary drives of the winding chuck and a means for transferring the chuck. CONSTITUTION:A winding chuck 18 is provided with a winding chuck rotating member 19 and a vertically-driving member 22 and a longitudinally-transferring member 25 therefor, and a wire material is wound by these members. Moreover, a winding chuck horizontally-driving member 26 is added thereto so as to perform a wire supplying operation. Since the winding chuck 18 is so designed so as to be moved to a wire material supplying unit to bring the wire material therefrom, a winding operation can be fully automated, and thereby the manual supply of a wire to the winding chuck 18 conducted heretofore at every start of winding on one core is dispensed with. |
