PURPOSE:To control the deterioration in the electromagnetic converting characteristic of a magnetic head by interposing an amorphous intermediate thin film between a core base and a magnetic thin film so as to prevent local crystallization of the magnetic thin film. CONSTITUTION:The 1st amorphous intermediate thin film 9 made of, e.g., silicon dioxide is interposed to a part of the magnetic head opposite to the magnetic gap 5 of the 1st core base 4 constituting the 1st core half 2, and the 1st magnetic thin film 4 made of an amorphous magnetic material having a high saturation magnetic flux density is formed on the film 9. Then the 2nd core half 2 is constituted similarly. The local crystallization of the magnetic thin films 6, 8 is prevented by providing the intermediate thin films 9, 10 in this way so as to control the deterioration of the electromagnetic converting characteristic of the magnetic head attended therewith. |
