PURPOSE:To provide a pocket warmer requiring no pilot flame by a method wherein methyl alcohol is used as fuel, evaporated and contacted with a low temperature active type oxidation catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Within a fuel tank 1 is stored an absorbent cotton from immersing methyl alcohol therein. Within an ignition case 2, a catalyst 3 composed of non-combustible porous substance or fibrous substance having a low temperature active type oxidation catalyst such as platinum and palladium etc. is housed therein. In case of using the pocket warmer, a cap cover 5 placed between the tank opening 4 of the fuel tank 1 and the ignition case 2 is removed, resulting in that the pocket warmer is naturally heated. |
