A detergent material which can be formed into a bar or other shape comprising (a) 15 to 40 weight% of a salt of an alkyl sulfate having an alkyl group of 10 to 18 carbon atoms, (b) 0.1 to 3 weight % of fatty acid ethanolamide having a fatty acid residue of 10 to 18 carbon atoms, (c) 1 to 8 weight % magnesium sulfate, and (d) 10 to 25 weight % of a water-insoluble inorganic substance. |
