The fistula catheter having a plastic cannula (13) and an extractable steel hollow needle (20) has a transparent hose piece (11) which is connected via a connecting piece (12) with the plastic cannula (13) and through which the steel hollow needle (20) extends. The steel hollow needle (20) is provided with a guide body (24) and, at a distance from this, with a lateral opening (25) which passes under a sleeve-shaped gasket (22) when the steel hollow needle (20) is extracted, the gasket forming at the same time a guide for the steel hollow needle at the rear end of the hose piece (11). <IMAGE>
