PURPOSE:To control the radiation characteristics by providing a variable short circuit plate into the groove of a corrugated horn. CONSTITUTION:A short circuit plate 22 which short-circuits a groove 12 and a brush 23 are mounted on a fixed part 24 in the groove 12 of the corrugation near an opening surface of an oval or rectangular opening corrugated horn at the side connected to an antenna. A screw 21 is provided to the part 24 via a retainer ring 25, and the plate 22 in the groove 12 can be moved with rotations of the screw 21. Thus the depth of the groove 12 is controlled. As a result, the radiation pattern of a corrugated hole is controlled. Then the radiation characteristics of a low oval polarized wave factor are obtained over a wide range of bands when the circular polarized wave is supplied. Furthermore the desired radiation characteristics can be obtained without using various corrugation horns having different depths of grooves. |
