PURPOSE:To exactly meter the abrasion degree of a rotary machine brush, by generating pulse signal detecting the abrasion position of the rotary machine brush, and by performing the comparison operation of the pulse signal with a set pulse quantity after the pulse signal is integrated. CONSTITUTION:When a brush 2 in contact with a collector ring 1 is abraded, then the rotary machine brush 2 is lowered downward, and the mechanical contact 8 of an abrasion detecting section 7 set on a rugged section 6 is make- and-break-operated, and pulse signal is generated along with the make-and- break-operation. The generated pulse signal is transmitted to a brush abrasion conversion section 9. On the pulse detecting circuit 10 of the brush abrasion conversion section 9, the pulse signal transmitted from the abrasion detecting section 7 is integrated, and the result input to an abrasion alarm operation synthetic circuit 11 is provided. The comparison operation of the pulse quantity integrated on the circuit 11 with the pulse quantity set previously on a setting generation circuit 12 is performed, and the output is directed to a brush abrasion alarm of the former pulse in larger quantity. |
