PURPOSE:To automatically perform perfect recording, by a method wherein a paper-discharging roller capable of being rotated forward and reversely in conjunction with a platen is provided, and the roller is reversely rotated under the condition where the trailing end of a recording paper comes beyond a separation guide, thereby leading the back side of the paper to a recording position. CONSTITUTION:When recording on one side is finished, it is discriminated whether or not the opposite side is recorded, and when the opposite side is not yet recorded, a driving motor is rotated forward to feed the recording paper 6 until the trailing end 6d of the paper 6 is detected by a reflection-type sensor 22. When the trailing end 6d is detected, the paper is further fed, and when it is discriminated that the paper 6 is fed by a prescribed amount and the trailing end 6d comes beyond the separation guide 20, the motor is reversely rotated to rotate the paper-discharging roller 10 counterclockwise, thereby feeding the paper 6 sequentially to the side of a side edge 20b. This operation is repeated until the paper 6 is fed by the prescribed amount and the leading end of the paper comes between the platen 4 and a pinch roller 8. Then, the motor is rotated forward, thereby recording on the side 6b. |
