PURPOSE:To contrive to make the wall thickness at the flange part of a container uniform by a structure wherein auxiliary forming parts, which are provided further outside of containers formed by cavities at the forward part and backward part in the direction of feeding of resin sheet and protruded in the direction toward a female mold, are formed on the fed resin sheet. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, resin sheet 26, which is heated up to its forming temperature, is fed between a female mold 20 and a plug plate 30. Secondly, the female mold 20 and the plug plate 30 are clamped together. Thirdly, a hollow space 24 is evacuated through an air flow passage 25 in order to form the resin sheet 25' after the shape of the inner surface of each cavity 21. At this time, auxiliary forming parts 25A are formed by the side surface of the female mold 20 and an auxiliary plug 32 further outside the respective cavities 21 at the outer peripheral sides. Fourthly, the female mold 20 and the plug plate 30 are opened and the formed resin sheet is fed by the predetermined one pitch, which is larger than the width of the female mold 20 in the direction of sheet feeding. Finally, every container 21 is trimmed in order to obtain a product. Thus, the outermost container is regarded as it is were formed at the position inside by one row, resulting in uniformly stretching the wall thickness at the flange part of the container along the whole periphery. |
