PURPOSE:To effectively operate a permanent current switch by connecting the end of a superconductive coil and the terminal near the center of the coil with a heater of the switch. CONSTITUTION:The heater wirings 41 of a permanent magnet switch 2 are connected with the end 7 or 71 of a superconductive coil 1, and a terminal 8 from the vicinity of the center of the coil 1. When thus connected, if the coil 1 is quenched to generate a resistance, a current is always flowed to the wirings 41 to be heated, and the switch is opened. Since the heater wirings are heated by a passive circuit, an external power source is not necessary, and the heater wirings are not heated due to the defect such as a power interruption or the erroneous operation of the power source. |
