PURPOSE:To facilitate adding and editing messages by providing a message area in a storage device incorporated in a programmable controller which is connected to a numerical control device through an interface of parallel constitution. CONSTITUTION:When a key 11 is operated in the register mode, key information 11 is supplied to a programmable controller 3 through an interface 2 directly. When receiving key information, the programmable controller 3 performs editing in relation to message information storage in a message area 12 and writes an edited message 14 in the message area 12 of a storage device 10. In case of display of the message, the programmable controller 3 transfers message data stored in the message area of the storage device 10 to a storage device 9 of a numerical control device 1 through the interface 2 of parallel constitution. |
