PURPOSE:To make it possible to repeatedly use a member of a resistance layer and a conductive layer and to reduce running cost while making it possible to well perform transfer and fixation even with respect to rough recording paper, by separating not only a heat generating sheet and an ink sheet but also a current supply part and a transfer part. CONSTITUTION:Mechanisms 11, 12, which rotates and feeds a heat generating sheet 10 consisting of a resistance layer 4 and a conductive layer 3 and formed into an endless loop form, and an ink sheet 13 separated from the heat generating sheet 10 are provided and, in a current supply part, the heat generating sheet 10 and the ink sheet 13 are held between an electrode unit 14 and a press member 15 and ink 16 is locally transferred from an ink layer 5 to the conductive layer 3 while the resistance layer 4 of the heat generating sheet 10 is contacted with the electrode unit 14 and the ink layer 5 of the ink sheet 13 is contacted with the conductive layer 3 of the heat generating sheet 10 and, in a transfer part, the heat generating sheet 10 and recording paper 17 are pressed between a heating mechanism 18 and a press member 19 and the ink 16 on the conductive layer 3 of the heat generating sheet 10 is transferred to the recording paper 17. |
