PURPOSE:To decrease an error rate by designating the direction of count opera tion of an up/down counter to decrease the difference by the output of a compa rator section when the difference between the present synthesis level and the synthesis level before a time T is detected in space diversity. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal A corresponding to the present synthesis signal level and a digital signal B corresponding to the synthesis signal level before a time T are compared by a comparator 7-4, and when a difference between the A and B is detected, e.g., A<B, an output is fed to the 1st counter drive section 9 via a flip-flop circuit 8 from a terminal of the comparator 7-4 and a signal designating the direction of the count operation is fed to an up/down counter (U/D counter) 10-1 via a NAND circuit 11-2 or 11-3 to decrease the difference between the A and B. When the comparator 7-4 discriminates that the relation of A=B is established by applying the control above to an endless phase shifter, the counter 10-1 stops the count operation.
