EXAMPLE:Exo type 6-O-(N-trifluoroacetyl-beta-amino-isobutyryl)-3',4'-O-benzylidene- chartreusin. USE:An anticancer. PREPARATION:Chartreusin is reacted with benzaldehyde dimethylacetal, etc. to give 3',4'-O-benzylidenechartreusin. This compound is selectively hydrolyzed to give exo type 3',4'-benzylidenechartreusin, which is reacted with a carboxylic acid derivative shown by the formula HOOCQ.
