PURPOSE:To provide a liquid washing tank for the raw material of fresh juice having a structure to facilitate the cleaning in the tank, by placing a belt wheel and belt-guide wheel of a belt conveyor extending along the side wall of the liquid washing tank, wherein the wheels are so constructed as to be assembled and disassembled from the outside of the side wall. CONSTITUTION:Each liquid washing tank 2 for the production of fresh juice has a closed structure constructed of the opposite side walls 3... and the bottom wall 4 and the lid plate 5 attached to the bottom and the top of the side walls 3..., and is filled with a liquid such as water 6, chemical 7, etc., to a prescribed level. The side walls 3... are connected with each other by a V-shaped belt conveyor composed of a belt wheel 9 and a guide wheel 10. A cleaning window 12 having sufficiently large size to enable the assembly and disassembly of the belt wheel and the guide wheel is opened near the belt wheel 9 and the guide wheel 10, and the window 12 is sealed with a watertight and gastight openable lid 12a. The cleaning window 12 is opened within the reach of hand from the adjacent cleaning window 12. Accordingly, the assembly or disassembly of the whole belt conveyor can be carried out easily from the window 12.
