PURPOSE:To enable a gas shielded arc welding even in a strongly windy place with increasing a shielding effect by blowing a shielded gas from the shielded gas nozzle provided in a chamber. CONSTITUTION:The shielded gas is blown from shielded gas nozzles 2l, 2l', 2i when the shielded gas is fed from shielded gas feed ports 2d, 2d', 2f. The inside of chamber 2 is then gas-shielded. Side face backing metals 2k, 2k' are controlled with moving in case of welding an electrogas and surrounds the weld zone. The shielding effect is thus increased by gas-shielding the whole welding zone and the gas shielded arc welding can be performed even in a strongly windy place of outdoors, etc.
