PURPOSE:To simplify its operation with an excellent finish by coating a strippable paint along a parting line, drying the paint to form a coated film of the resin, fixing a forming die in the recess while overlapping the end part of the die with the coated film and then cutting the film by melting with a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:When a part of a resinous product such as an automobile bumper is painted, a strippable paint 7 is coated in specified width along the parting line between the skirt part 3 to be painted and the bumper part 2 not to be painted and the line between the part 3 and the grille part with use of a roller brush 6. When the paint is dried and a coated film is formed, a forming die 9 is fitted into a grille part 5 and the leading end part of the lug part of the forming die 9 is positioned in the grille part 5 on the slightly inner side of the parting line. Then the coated film is cut by melting with a laser beam along the parting line, the coated film on the part to be painted is released and the forming die in the part not to be painted is detached. Consequently, cutting is performed strictly along the parting line and an excellent finish is obtained.
