PRODUCTION OF MOLDING POLYCARBONATE RESIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce the titled resin low in a volatile impurity content and excellent in a yellowness index and heat stability, by adding water to a polycarbonate and kneading and extruding with degassing this mixture under a condition so as not to cause hydrolysis. CONSTITUTION:0.2-20pts.wt. water is added to 100pts.wt. polycarbonate resin powder of a viscosity-average MW of 10,000-100,000 obtained by reacting a dihydric phenol with phosgene in the presence of an acid acceptor and a MW modifier in a solvent such as methylene chloride and this mixture is kneaded and extruded with degassing under a condition so as not to cause the hydrolysis of the carbonate.
