PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping of a roof panel and any damage to a driving device from occurring, by constituting a device so as to check the rotation of a movable pillar with a roof panel setting state detecting signal, in case of the fully-openable top roof device bearing the above caption. CONSTITUTION:A fuse 142, a voltage detecting switch 160, an engine operation detecting switch 170 and a roof setting state detecting switch 180 are all connected to a space between a movable pillar driving circuit 150 and a power source 141 is stretched across an interval between both top parts of a movable pillar and a front window or not, and when this roof panel proves to be installed therein, it is turned off. Therefore, in this state, energization to the driving circuit150 is checked. With this constitution, any drive at the time of setting the roof panel is checked so that the dropping of the roof panel and any damage to a driving mechanism are preventable from occurring.
