PURPOSE:To detect the true target distinguished from a pseudo target, by employing a combination structure having both functions of an infrared type detector and a radio wave type detector. CONSTITUTION:An infrared detector 3 sends a received signal to a signal comparator 5. The comparator 5 fetches a signal as reference from a reference signal generator 6 to send it to a polarity decider 7 as target signal when the intensity of the received signal exceeds that of the reference signal and it decides on the polarity of the target signal to output the signal indicating the polarity to detection logical circuit 8. On the other hand, an antenna 10 sends the received signal to a signal comparator 12, which takes a signal as reference from a reference signal generator 13 to send the received signal to a polarity decider 14 as target signal when the intensity of the received signal exceeds that of the reference signal and it decides on the polarity, positive or negative, to send a signal indicating the polarity to the circuit 8. The circuit 8 outputs the target detection signal at an terminal 15 when the polarity of respective target signals by infrared rays and radio waves coincide with the signal feature of a metal target. |
