PURPOSE:To reduce noise in operation by allowing change-over of a relay switch to be effected gradually at the halfway of the reciprocal movement of a wiper by a CR circuit which is connected in parallel with a relay coil. CONSTITUTION:A relay device 5 includes No.1 transistor Tr1, which controls electric current to a relay coil 10b of an intermittent relay 10, for driving a wiper motor, and No.1 base voltage generation circuit 3. With the transistor Tr1 turned on, a relay coil 10b of the intermittent relay 10 to be switched over to the closed position. In addition, the relay device 5 also included No.2 transistor Tr2 and No.2 base voltage generated circuit 15, ad furthermore includes a charge and discharge circuit 16 which consists of a resistor R6 and a condenser C1. And a CR circuit 20 which consists of a resistor R7 and a condenser C2, is connected with the intermittent relay coil 10b in parallel with the coil.
