PURPOSE:To operate a drop of a cover wheel and a fixing of the cover in a time through a motion of a driving cylinder, by connecting a hook member to fix and hold the cover, to a link to allow a free up-and-down movement of the running rail, at the closed position of a sliding type latch cover. CONSTITUTION:In a sliding type hatch cover movable with a wheel 7 arranged at the hatch cover, between the opened and closed positions along a running rail 4 furnished on a hatch combing, a part of the running rail at the closed position is cut off, and the cut off rail 19 is made movable up and down freely, through a driving cylinder 25 and a link member 23. A hook member 21 is connected to the link member 23 to fix and hold the hatch cover at its closed position. By one stroke movement of the driving cylinder 25, the drop of the cut off rail and the fixing of the cover can be operated in a time.
