An electrostatic precipitator is controlled by a transductor 2, the output voltage of which is sensed by a transformer 10 which through a 2 state circuit switches off the transductor control current in the event of a reduction in voltage due to spark over. A variable recovery rate circuit 12 allows reinstatement of the voltage at a controlled rate. A further circuit 6 integrates the number of spark overs and lowers the transductor output voltage with increasing frequency of spark overs.</p> |
