PURPOSE:To suppress discoloring due to residual dyes without degrading physical film properties by incorporating a specified compd. at least one silver halide emulsion layers formed on a support and hardening this emulsion layer and a nonphotosensitive layer with 2 kinds of hardeners. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the silver halide emulsion layers formed on the support contains a compd. represented by the formula shown on the right in which Z is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form a 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; Q is an atomic group necessary to form a 5-membered ring; R is alkyl; and m is 1 or 2. This emulsion layer and at least one of nonphoto sensitive layers are hardened by using a kind of hardener selected from halogenated s-triazine type hardeners and vinylsulfone type hardeners in combina tion with an aldehyde type hardener, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to be suppressed in discoloration due to the residual dyes without degrading the physical film properties, and enhanced in spectral sensitivity to lights in the blue region down to 50nm wavelength, and raised in contrast, reduced in fog, and made operable under a yellow safelight. |
